• This level is suitable for students with no prior experience of Japanese or those who have less than 150 hours of learning.

• Listening & Conversation: Listening skills to understand simple daily topics, and to talk about them.

• This level covers language items and skills equivalent to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test levels N4～N3.
• Listening and Conversation: You will gain a limited ability to listen to and talk about general topics related to everyday situations.
• Reading and Composition: Skills to read about daily and general social subjects and write short paragraphs on simple topics.
• Kanji & Vocabulary: you will learn 500 Kanji and relevant vocabulary. You will learn the last 250 characters of the book Basic Kanji Book 500.

• This level is suitable for students who have completed over 300 hours of Japanese and are aiming at improving their usage of Japanese needed for undergraduate and graduate studies through integrated study of intermediate level Japanese.
• Listening and Conversation: You will gain the ability to be able to listen to general topics related to everyday situations and talk about general topics related to everyday situations.
• Reading and Composition: Skills to read and understand general social subjects and to write sentences in basic standard writing styles on general social topics.
• Kanji & Vocabulary: you will learn 800 Kanji and relevant vocabulary.

• このレベルは初中級レベルの学習を修了、または日本語学習時間300時間以上の既修者を対象としたレベルである。中級レベルの日本語を総合的に学習し、大学、大学院の勉強に必要な日本語の運用力を養成する。このレベルの到達目標は日本語能力試験N2級レベルである。
• 聴解：会話：身近な事柄だけでなく一般的な事柄について聞くことができる。身近な事柄だけでなく一般的な事柄について話すことができる。
• 読解：作文：基本的な文法・漢字・語彙（1,500語程度）を習得した者を対象とし、中級レベルの日本語の読解を習得する。一般的な事柄についてある程度まとまった文章を書くことができる。
• 漢字・語彙：800字程度の漢字とそれに関連する語彙を習得する。

• This level is suitable for students who have completed intermediate Japanese or have studied for 500 to 600 hours. It aims to foster usage of academic Japanese for use in research. You will practice reading texts about abstract/highly cultural topics, discussing, presenting and writing reports on the content.
• Listening and Conversation: You will gain a limited ability to listen to and talk about unfamiliar topics in Japanese, by using knowledge that you have already acquired. This level will give students the ability to complete tasks based on authentic materials from mass media such as television.
• Reading and Composition: Skills to read and write about abstract/highly cultural subjects. Students will learn to read high level texts about social issues.
• Kanji & Vocabulary: you will learn 1,100 Kanji and relevant vocabulary. In addition to enhancing your vocabulary, you will aim to improve your abilities to use idiomatic Japanese.

• このレベルは中級までの学習を修了した、あるいは日本語を500～600時間以上学習した学生を対象とするレベルである。専門の研究にも役立つアカデミックな日本語運用能力の養成を目指す。
• このレベルの到達目標は日本語能力試験N1レベルである。『みんなの日本語中級Ⅱ』を修了、もしくは600時間程度の学習歴のある学習者を対象とする。
• 聴解：会話：未知の事柄についての生の日本語を既知の事柄を元に対応して、ある程度聞いて、話すことができる。
• 読解：作文：抽象的・文化的な事柄についての文章を読んだり書いたりすることができる。
• 漢字・語彙：1,100字程度の漢字とそれに関連する語彙を習得する。さらに機能的な漢字の習得と語彙力の増強に努め、日本語らしい日本語が使えるような日本語能力の養成を図る。

• This advanced level is suitable for students who have the equivalent of Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N1.
• Listening and Conversation: This level is aimed at students who need the ability to understand academic lectures in Japanese and to understand natural Japanese speech on highly abstract or cultural topics and present your opinions on these topics. You will be able to give presentations and participate in discussions on specialized topics using logically constructed discourse.
• Reading and Composition: This level is aimed at students who need the ability to read articles written in natural Japanese, and write logically structured academic reports. This level aims to develop fundamental skills of Japanese composition for academic papers and documents required to write in university classes.
• Grammar: We will aim to develop proficiency in Japanese to handle Japanese needed for studying and carrying out research in your own disciplines.
• Kanji & Vocabulary: you will learn 2,000 Kanji and relevant vocabulary. In addition to enhancing your vocabulary, you will aim to improve your ability to use idiomatic Japanese.

• このレベルは中上級レベルの日本語コースを修了、または日本語能力試験N１レベルの既修者を対象とする。
• 聴解：会話：専門的な内容を含む日本語を聞き取ることができる。中上級までの学習を修了した学生を対象とし、講義の理解などに必要な聴解能力を身に付ける。抽象的･文化的な事柄についての高度な生の日本語を聞いたり、それについて話したりできる。大学の授業に参加できる能力を養成する。専門的な内容について、論理的に議論したり、発表したりすることができる。
• 読解：作文：専門性の高い内容も含んだ生の日本語を読んだり書いたりすることができる。学術的な論文や大学生活で必要となる文書を書くための、日本語の基礎的な作文技術を養成し、レポートや短い論文を書くことができる。
• 文法：専門分野の学習・研究に日本語で対応できる。日本語の文法についての理解を深めることにより、より高度で正確な日本語の運用能力を身につける。
• 漢字・語彙：2,000字程度の漢字とそれに関連する語彙を習得する。さらに機能的な漢字の習得と語彙力の増強に努め、日本語らしい日本語が使える能力の養成を図る。
